The Financial Services Climate Change & Sustainability Services (FSO CCaSS) team works with organisations across the financial sector to develop and implement sustainability strategies, policies and practices; prepare effective sustainability reports and/or integrate ESG information into other public disclosures; and provide assurance over non-financial reports and metrics.
We are part of a broader Global FSO CCaSS team focused on driving sustainable, inclusive growth.
The FSO CCaSS team seeks to build a better working world by helping businesses respond to social, environmental and governance challenges.
Our services include development of ESG strategies, materiality and maturity analyses, sustainability reporting, green/sustainable financing and assurance services.
This full-time role will be based in either Sydney or Melbourne, open to candidates with valid Australian working rights.

As our Manager, you will: ? Lead engagements to support organisations to identify, develop and deliver climate change strategies that address risk and opportunity.
Support business development of EY's FSO Climate Change services and assist in achieving sales targets? Build trusting relationships with EY clients and leverage those relationships to generate business opportunities Establish high performing teams, including coaching and mentoring team members Foster a collaborative and high performing team environment while applying technical expertise of climate change to direct project teams on delivery of EY's climate change services ? We're interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.
Financial or non-financial assurance experience and awareness of relevant standards including those developed by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and associated local regulation? Outstanding project and time management skills.
6+ years of relevant professional experience and 2+ years leadership or management experience? Ideally, you will also have Tertiary qualification, such as in engineering or environmental sciences, economics, social sciences, law, organisational development, research methods or international development? Knowledge and experience in climate and energy policy and standards, climate risk and opportunity assessment and decarbonisation strategy Practical experience with energy and emissions reporting schemes including National Greenhouse Emissions Reporting (NGER) scheme, the Safeguard Mechanism and the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF); as well as climate risk advisory experience such as experience with the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) Framework.
Experience in the financial services industry.
Experience in climate change services (either in professional services, industry or government).
An understanding of regulation, legislation and best practices relating to climate disclosures and carbon accounting.
