The corporation generates, transmits and distributes electricity, supplies water and wastewater treatment services across the Northern Territory (NT) for the benefit of residents, including remote and isolated Aboriginal communities and outstations.
Position Overview The Manager Financial Planning and Analysis oversees the consolidation of Power and Water Corporation (PWC) forecasts and financial reports into corporation-wide reporting as well as report design, developing key performance indicators and financial strategy, enterprise valuation, financial modelling and management reporting through the Senior Manager Business Finance.
Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in complex commercial environments, including: Business unit consolidation The preparation of complex financial statements Professional judgment in aligning decisions with organizational value targets and risk thresholds Essential skills include: Proficiency in diverse accounting software Report generation Advanced analytical skills A proven track record in: Enterprise valuation Corporate finance principles Successful team management Budgeting Financial reporting analysis Moreover, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effectively conveying financial results to stakeholders, including shareholders and the Board.
Relevant experience in a utility or similar environment, along with postgraduate qualifications in a related discipline complemented by Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant membership, is highly desired.
