Reporting to the CFO, this role manages a small team in all technical Financial Accounting aspects for one main subsidiary of the group.
This role requires someone ideally from an Audit/Big 4 background initially, before moving into technical accounting roles within the heavy industrial/infrastructure/utility industry.
You will be responsible for: - Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to Shareholders; - Overseeing the monthly consolidation process; - Managing the preparation of the ASIC Statutory financial statements for all entities; - Managing the preparation of the ASIC Statutory financial statements for all entities; - Preparing the monthly tax effect accounting calculations for all entities and preparing the tax effect accounting calculations for budget and forecast; - Preparing accounting position papers for the business determining appropriate accounting treatment of transactions and processes; - Evaluating changes in accounting policies and standards and preparing papers detailing the impact of changes; - Coordinating the external Audit; - Reviewing the general ledger reconciliations across the Financial Accounting team.
You will be CA/CPA qualified with ideally a Big4 background and you must have experience within an industry that has a large asset balance sheet.
This is an immediate start until the end of March 2025 initially.
