The Finance Manager Farebox/Ticketing and Joint Venture Operations is responsible for leading, directing and managing a team that oversees the management of the State's Farebox revenue and transport Joint Venture Operations to ensure all financial management contractual obligations are complied with and financial risk exposures relating to farebox and Joint Venture Operations are appropriately managed.
Position Outcomes / Accountabilities In this role, you will lead the financial business partnering team to deliver a comprehensive range of services including budgeting, forecasting, financial performance analysis and risk management to support internal clients' business planning and decision-making. You will ensure the effective implementation of the Department of Transport and Planning financial strategy and compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies. Additionally, you will manage the State's Metropolitan Farebox revenue through detailed analysis and forecasting, identifying risks and opportunities and provide timely reports to stakeholders. Lastly, you will provide an expert advice on financial management to internal clients supporting commercial proposals, business case submissions and contract reviews.
Key Selection Criteria Excellent financial technical knowledge and skills and application of financial, cost and management accounting principles and practices Excellent knowledge of the financial management aspects of franchise and service agreements and demonstrated successful experience in providing financial business partnering services in regard to these contractual arrangements. Highly developed specialised financial analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop financial related initiatives and practical solutions that will positively assist internal management in their management and decision making relating to franchise and service contractual arrangements. Exceptional ability and successful experience in building strong relationships and liaising with internal management and external stakeholders in regard to the provision of financial management support services. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills both verbal and written, and experience in writing and presenting financial reports and other explanatory financial documentation. Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop a high-performance team with the appropriate direction, support and guidance. Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualification in a relevant or a related discipline. Relevant Finance or Accounting degree which includes all foundation requirements for entry into CPA program.
