You're someone who wants to create outcomes that have a real impact on the people of NSW. This role will allow you to drive evidence-based decision making to enhance safety on our roads. It's research and evaluation with impact you can see. In this role, you'll: Work as part of a team designing and managing research and program evaluation projects, advice and review services to staff across the Transport Safety division within TfNSW.
This role will see you contribute to strategic transport priorities through the leadership of critical projects on behalf of teams across the division, providing evidence and insights to inform and optimise road safety programs, policy and practice.
You're recognised as a research and/or evaluation expert with extensive experience in undertaking or managing projects on behalf of public sector agencies. You are confident in leading both the design and delivery of process and outcome evaluation, developing evaluation frameworks, logic models and evaluation plans.
You have extensive understanding of quantitative and qualitative methodologies and are experienced in translating findings into actionable evidence and insights. Knowledge of road safety is not essential but will be viewed very favourably. Your positive attitude, excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills will ensure that you fit into this collaborative team and achieve the results which this team is passionate about.

The Centre for Road and Maritime Safety is responsible for leading the development of broad strategic policy objectives for road safety, producing recommended road safety policies, standards and behavioural change strategies. The Centre applies the Safe System approach, which examines the interaction of road safety elements (safer roads, speeds, people and vehicles) in developing measures to reduce road trauma.
