The position will lead in the design and conduct of research and the evaluation of programs of strategic value to NT Police.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide timely strategic advice and recommendations to enable NT Police to build its evidence base, monitor its performance, recognize its achievements, and identify trends and risks that require remedial action.Lead research, analysis, and evaluation to inform improvements to a wide range of program investments delivered by NT Police and in partnership with providers.Work collaboratively with program areas, other Departments, and key partners to develop evaluation plans, program logics, and data matrices.Prepare and present complex reports and briefings to senior management, in addition to preparing Ministerial and Cabinet documents for government and plain language information for diverse audiences.Contribute to a work culture of continuous quality improvement, innovation, and strategic and critical thinking.Selection CriteriaEssentialExtensive experience in research, evaluation, and reporting to inform strategic policy and planning.Established project and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.Demonstrated extensive knowledge of contemporary policy and legislative issues related to NT Police.High-level interpersonal skills and proven ability to consult and collaborate with stakeholders.Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including experience in producing concise briefings and reports.Demonstrated ability to work productively in a team and to lead and mentor staff if required.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with diverse cultures.DesirablePostgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline.Further Information: The recommended applicant will be required to hold a current Working with Children Clearance notice and undergo a criminal history check.
