We are seeking an experienced Manager Environment & Sustainability to oversee the implementation of our environmental and sustainability strategies during the critical construction phase of our nationally significant project.
In this pivotal leadership role, you'll establish and contribute to processes to achieve regulatory compliance while embedding sustainability principles into every aspect of project delivery.
As a trusted advisor and leader, you will provide strategic guidance to the Project Teams and Principal Contractors, guide and empower them to achieve outstanding environmental performance and sustainable outcomes.If you're motivated by our purpose to deliver Australia's renewable energy future and thrive on tackling complex environmental challenges, we want to hear from you!Your RoleOversee the implementation of environmental governance, performance and compliance frameworks and sustainability strategies with a proactive risk management lens.Provide specialist advice as a trusted advisor to Project Delivery teams to ensure the successful implementation of environmental and sustainability compliance requirements into contractor documentation.Mentor and lead the Environment and Sustainability team to foster collaboration, accountability and exceptional performance.Oversee the review and verification of contractor documentation to ensure environmental approval conditions including Environmental Management Plans and Environmental Performance Requirements are compliant.Oversee environmental management governance of principal contractors including undertaking environmental audit and assurance activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance environmental performance.Collaborate with regulatory bodies, government authorities and stakeholders to achieve assurance outcomes and maintain alignment and transparency.You'll NeedStrong leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead at both strategic and operational levels and foster a collaborative team culture.Extensive experience in environmental compliance and sustainability management during the construction phase of linear infrastructure projects, ideally within the energy sector.In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation and statutory requirements, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks pragmatically.Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related discipline and ideally accreditation in ISO 14001 Lead Auditor in Environmental Management Systems and Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP).Demonstrated ability to provide technical advice and coach internal teams and influence and partner with principal contractors.Proven experience engaging with regulatory authorities and stakeholders, building collaborative relationships to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.We OfferAt Marinus Link, we are building a passionate and talented team dedicated to delivering Australia's renewable energy future.Flexible Working: Our offices are located in Hobart, Melbourne and Traralgon.
