Our Engineering Operations team supports not only the maintenance of Jetstar aircraft, but also that of Qantas Group A320, and A321 Freighter aircraft and Jetstar Branded Airlines (JBA's) in Singapore and Japan.
Ready for your next adventure? We are on the hunt for an experienced aviation professional to takeoff in this newly created opportunity as Manager Engineering Operations.
In this role, your primary function will be to manage engineering operations in the day-of-ops environment to support the successful delivery of Jetstar's flying schedule.
Reporting to our Senior Manager Engineering Operations, you will primarily be responsible for:
Manage Engineering operations in the day-of-ops environment with a key focus on schedule integrity and disruption management. Acting as the key Engineering management representative providing dynamic leadership within the MOC and the Jetstar Operations Control Centre (JOCC). Management of planned and unplanned maintenance that balances the commercial, customer, and operational impacts associated with disruption. Acting as the operational Engineering point of contact and as an escalation point for activities within Engineering. Providing operational leadership and management to those within the Maintenance Operations Centre (MOC). Managing a team responsible for ensuring effective communication flow between those within and external to Engineering. We are on the hunt for the following experience: Proven experience in an aviation operations or engineering environment. Passion and experience in managing, coaching, and mentoring a team of direct reports. Aviation industry experience essential. A desire for continuous improvement and a passion for aviation. Ability to demonstrate a thick skin in dealing with difficult situations whilst thriving in a fast-paced, constantly changing, operational environment. Strength in problem solving and decision making, including the ability to consider the operation, customer, cost, people, and engineering impacts when proposing solutions. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Solid internal and external stakeholder management skills. What's in it for you?
