Remote Indigenous Land and Infrastructure Program Office; Closing the Gap Program Management Office; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships; CairnsWe are looking for an engaging, competent and agile Manager to join a team responsible for undertaking contract and project management, providing expert technical advice on land and infrastructure matters. You will work collaboratively with our stakeholders to deliver a broad range of programs and initiatives.Your contribution and key responsibilities:Manage the RILIPO, Infrastructure Coordination Program, shaping organisational culture, striving to achieve outcomes for Indigenous communities to meet strategic priorities.Possess high level project management skills and ensure the delivery of projects in an environment of competing demands, short timeframes and limited resources.Provide leadership and direction to staff in supporting individuals and team commitment to a culture of client service and the achievement of departmental goals.Liaise with RILIPO programs and relevant stakeholders to coordinate and gather information, providing advice and progress and monitor projects.Drive and lead projects to deliver Infrastructure Coordination Program outcomes for all discrete Indigenous communities.Drive and support the delivery of coordinated Technical Working Group meetings and outcomes.Develop and implement systems and performance measures in order to monitor and report on all planning deliverables.Ensure strong and effective engagement with Indigenous communities.Provide regular reports and advice to senior management including the Executive and Program Director on a range of projects, outcomes and achievements.Represent the department at significant forums, interdepartmental committees as required.Promote an accountable, fair and safe work environment through the implementation of policy relating to workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity/anti-discrimination and performance management.Manage and promote staff responsibilities in identifying, managing and reporting risks relating to their work and workplace.Fostering a healthy and inclusive workplace to support staff to contribute to their fullest ability.Frequent travel to remote Indigenous communities is a requirement of this role.Possession of a valid driver's licence.You are able to communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and you have knowledge of both cultures and societies from a historical and contemporary perspective.You recognise and articulate the interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and you are able to consult in accordance with cultural protocols if required.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/610674/24Closing Date: Monday, 6 January 2025Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.Please ensure you download all attachments and follow the instructions on how to apply.
