Position Overview:They are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Manager with expertise in energy markets and a particular focus on grid connections to join their advisory team. The Manager will play a key role in providing strategic advice and support to clients across a range of energy projects, with a focus on navigating grid connection challenges and opportunities in the Australian market.
Responsibilities:Client Engagement:Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on grid connection strategies, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
Grid Connection Management:Lead grid connection assessments for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage, from feasibility through to commissioning.
Stakeholder Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with network operators, regulators, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth grid connection processes and resolve issues as they arise.
Project Management:Oversee the development and implementation of grid connection plans, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and objectives.
Market Analysis:Monitor and analyze developments in the Australian energy market, including policy changes, market dynamics, and technological advancements, to inform grid connection strategies.
Risk Management:Identify and assess risks related to grid connections, such as congestion, voltage issues, and network constraints, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.
Technical Expertise:Provide technical expertise on grid connection requirements, standards, and best practices, and collaborate with engineering teams to optimize design and integration solutions.
Training and Development:Mentor junior staff members and provide training on energy markets, grid connections, and related topics to build internal capacity and expertise.

Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, energy management, economics, or a STEM-related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy markets, with a focus on grid connections and renewable energy.
Deep understanding of the Australian energy market landscape, including regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and grid infrastructure.
Proven track record of successfully managing grid connection projects, including navigating regulatory approvals and stakeholder engagement.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.
