Who we areThe Education, Prevention and Inclusion Branch manages education and resources to help educate all Australians about online safety, and runs programs and projects related to safeguarding Australians at risk from online harms and promoting safer, more positive online experiences.
About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity to lead in shaping strategic roadmaps for key teams under the new EPI structure and use these to feed into a broader education, prevention, and awareness strategy for the branch.
This will require working closely with the Executive Manager and teams across the branch and broader agency (including research, investigation and other strategy focused teams) to help shape program strategies and direction over a one to three year period.
It will also involve setting key performance indicators for program delivery and assisting teams in ensuring data is being captured to measure program performance and effectiveness.
The key duties of the position include:Work across the branch and broader agency to distil current understandings of online harms and best practice prevention programs and principles.Consult key stakeholders, including senior eSafety staff, to seek their views on program strategy.Apply these understandings in shaping, monitoring and reviewing one to three year strategies for the branch.Work with teams to identify key performance measures, including ensuring the key data is being captured to measure performance.Work with teams and Executive Manager to identify future program opportunities.Assist the Executive Manager in building broader strategic capacity across the branch, including through planning days and staff development initiatives.Produce high quality briefs, analysis and correspondence, including in respect of complex and emerging issues.Note: Due to the nature of eSafety's regulatory scope, occupants in this role may be exposed to content or hear stories about other people's experiences with online harm or be involved in work on potentially distressing and sensitive topics.

Eligibility RequirementsTo be eligible for employment with eSafety, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance or hold a current security clearance of an appropriate level.

The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check (or equivalent).
Successful applicants are required to satisfy an employment screening process which may include demonstrating Australian citizenship, satisfactory completion of security and integrity checks and successful completion of a medical assessment.
