About the Queensland Family and Child CommissionThe Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) is dedicated to ensuring every Queensland child is loved, respected, and has their rights upheld.
The QFCC plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and families across Queensland, through influencing policy, supporting community engagement and working collaboratively with key stakeholders to promote child safety standards.
With a focus on building strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, the QFCC strives to foster a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities it serves.Following new child safety legislation, the QFCC is implementing its Child Safe Organisation (CSO) system, encompassing a mandatory child-safe standards scheme and a reportable conduct scheme.About the Role and YouThis newly created role places you at the forefront of implementing education strategies and capacity-building plans into action to ensure sector readiness for the QFCC's Child Safe Organisation system.
You will be instrumental in guiding key stakeholders, like regulators and peak bodies, to develop capacity and align with child-safe standards.
Your expertise will drive collaboration, ensuring that each phase of the scheme rollout is supported by effective, accessible training resources and guidance.Reporting to the Director of CSO Implementation, you will oversee a team of four, collaborating closely with both internal and external partners to implement training initiatives and develop educational resources.
You will collaborate to build a cohesive, informed approach to child safety, aligning with QFCC's broader organisational objectives.
This role requires a seasoned leader skilled in strategy execution in a complex and evolving environment, stakeholder engagement, and with sound governance experience.Key to your success will be your agility, strategic thinking, and ability to foster strong relationships across sectors.
Your background in education, training, or partnership-building, coupled with a disciplined approach to project management, will enable you to lead a team that supports Queensland's commitment to child safety.
