About the opportunity The Manager Early Years and Family Services is a senior and strategic leadership role that brings together your knowledge of contemporary principles and practices in early childhood health and education with your understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks in relation to service provision. As part of the role you will oversee Council's early years centres, kindergarten programs, maternal and child health services, immunisation programs, OSHC programs, and supported playgroup programs ensuring they meet the needs of children and families across the Towong Shire.
What you can expect: Based in Tallangatta, you'll:
Lead the development and delivery of Council's early years and family services including: early years centers, three and four year old kindergarten, maternal and child health services, immunisation programs, OSHC programs, and supported playgroup programs. Foster a supportive and inclusive culture and working environment and ensure direct reports are supported to provide leadership, management and continued development to their direct reports. Ensure the delivery of early years and family services functions aligns with organisational objectives and relevant legislative requirements. Develop and manage contracts, service agreements, funding applications and agreements for Early Years and Family Services. What you'll need to be successful Experience working in Senior Management within an Early Years or Family Services environment Strong leadership, customer service and interpersonal skills Knowledge of, or experience, working in small communities Sound understanding of Financial and Risk Management and OH&S Ability to travel during work hours throughout Tallangatta, Corryong, Walwa and Bellbridge (pool car available).
