Do you have? Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Advanced Diploma of Engineering or working towards gaining.Knowledge of and experience in civil engineering infrastructure – investigation, construction and subdivisional design/supervision works.Experience in contemporary management and leadership practices which includes innovation, process improvement, best practice and effective organisation change.We seek an energetic individual, suitably qualified and experienced to lead our Design and Development business unit. This role is responsible for analysing and evaluating submitted engineering/development documentation to confirm compliance with relevant standards and requirements, conduct onsite inspections of all subdivision development activity within the Shire, design/document, prepare and assess tenders, project manage tendered infrastructure projects, provide technical engineering advice across the organisation and prepare grant submissions for road projects.
Benefits and Conditions Up to a five-year contract with an attractive salary of up to $140,000 with an annual review will be negotiated, dependent on experience and qualifications and benefits such as:
Superannuation of 11.5 per cent from date of commencement, with an opportunity for the Shire to match an employee's voluntary contribution of five or six per cent to their nominated plan.Private use of a Shire vehicle in accordance with Shire Policy.A mobile phone for business use in accordance with Shire Policy.Professional memberships up to the value of $500 per annum.Professional development up to the value of $1,500 per annum.Full-time position, located at the Harvey Administration Building.Four weeks paid annual leave.One rostered day off is available after every 19 working days.Free membership to the Leschenault Leisure Centre, the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre and the Dr Peter Topham Memorial Swimming Pool.A medical examination and a current policy clearance will be required prior to appointment, costs to be reimbursed by the Shire.
