About the role We are looking for a Manager - Cyber Security Risk and Advisory to lead a global team of cyber risk professionals that are focused on the continuous improvement of Rio Tinto's cyber security.
This role is a great opportunity for an experienced leader with substantial cyber security and risk management experience to partner with others across Rio Tinto to securely enable the business and positively impact the way cyber security risk is managed globally.
Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, and working in a collaborative and supportive environment within our global Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team, you will:
Lead by example and role model expected leadership behaviours to build trust, show genuine care and empower employees to fulfil their potential
Lead a team of cyber risk professionals to deliver pragmatic cyber security advice and guidance to diverse stakeholders across all parts of Rio Tinto
Support strategic initiatives, including the planning and execution of risk deep dives across Rio Tinto product groups and functions, working with stakeholders to support the remediation of identified cyber security risks
Building and maintaining strategic relationships across IS&T, product group and functional leadership teams
Actively contributing to the development of cyber strategy and plans, ensuring cyber security priorities connect to and support business priorities
Support the organisations adoption of cyber security group standards, guidance and best practices
Support cyber security aspects of business acquisitions and divestments
What you'll bring A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably within a distributed global team
Practical experience in a cyber security-based role, preferably in a large organisation, or a similar asset intensive industry
Experience in identifying and understanding cyber security risk, preferably in both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) contexts
Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to build credibility and collaboration
Familiarity with industry leading cyber security frameworks for identifying and managing cyber security risk (eg NIST, ISO, NERC CIP, ISA/IEC etc.)
