The Department of Infrastructure and Transport connects South Australians, so the community can easily access the services they want, the transport they rely on, and the infrastructure they need.
Reporting to the CIO, the Manager, Cyber and Assurance leads three critical functions within the ICT Directorate: ICT Security, Assurance, and Records Management.
The role will manage and develop high performance teams across each domain, ensuring consistency with agency and whole of government strategies, policies and priorities, with a focus on continuous improvement, customer-centric and value-added, effective Cyber Security, Assurance and Records Management services.
Working in close collaboration with the IT Security Advisor, you will oversee the strategic development, implementation, maintenance and compliance of ICT cyber security frameworks and functions, ensuring the ongoing achievement of quality outcomes that comply with relevant legislation, government and industry standards.
In the assurance domain you will direct teams responsible for applying effective risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery planning and preparedness.
Finally, under your leadership, the records management team will continue to facilitate a successful department wide transition of records, moving from paper to digital, making a significant contribution to operational business efficiency.
To excel in this important leadership role, you will demonstrate the capability to lead complex and multifaceted ICT Governance, Assurance and Security activities, including operating across stakeholder groups, internally and externally.
You will therefore:
Demonstrate strong management and leadership capability, motivating and influencing staff, driving work objectives for improved performance across multiple fronts.
Possess extensive experience in IT governance, and policy management and a broad knowledge of contemporary processes and practices for the effective management of ICT risks.
Have a passion for driving continual improvement programs and quality management practices within an enterprise level ICT setting.
Demonstrate sound expertise managing one of the core domains of responsibility, in particular Cyber Security, Governance or Risk & Assurance, within an enterprise ICT context.
The DIT ICT group continue to deliver impressive results, including a very successful recent cloud migration (AWS) of significant enterprise systems. Across all their ICT functions there is a strong commitment to excellence in governance, risk management and cyber security, underpinned by continuous improvement.
In addition to relevant senior leadership experience, a tertiary qualification in technology assurance and/or project delivery will be well regarded, along with evidence of an ongoing commitment to professional growth and development.
