Talenza have been engaged by one of Australia's leading banks to source a Credit Policy Manager to join their Team!

The Role: Talenza have been engaged to source a Credit Policy Manager for a 2nd line risk team, where you will play a pivotal role in executing the simplification of the policy library and enhancing the architecture supporting the management of non-retail credit risk across the organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your strong expertise in risk, governance, and control frameworks to help improve and strengthen processes and controls, ensuring they move forward with agility and in a controlled, safe manner.
This is an initial nine- month contract with the view to extend.

Location:
Melbourne or Sydney - Melbourne preferred

Responsibilities: Identify gaps in compliance with the Framework Policies Management Policy and recommend improvements.Strengthen the existing control framework and enhance governance oversight across our risk processes.Enhance internal reporting mechanisms to improve transparency and visibility of the operational effectiveness of the control environment.Identify and document changes to controls required to support the ongoing credit policy simplification project.Proactively identify potential project risks, issues, and develop effective mitigation strategies to address them in a timely manner.Provide valuable input into the design and implementation of new controls or business processes, as required.Work closely with the Policy team and senior stakeholders, including risk managers, compliance teams, business units, and IT, to define publishing requirements, scope, and deliverables.Demonstrate a capacity to identify alternate approaches, apply appropriate solutions, and gain agreement from stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.Skills & Experience Needed: Proven experience and depth of knowledge in risk management, governance, and control frameworks, preferably in a policy-related environment.Able to think critically, assess risks, and propose effective solutions.Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and senior stakeholders across the organisation.A deep understanding of governance frameworks and compliance requirements in a complex organisational setting.
