About the Teachers Registration Board: The Teachers Registration Board (the TRB) is established under the Teachers Registration and Standards Act 2004 (the Act) and the Teachers Registration and Standards Regulations 2021 to regulate the teaching profession.
The object of the Act is, in the public interest, to maintain a teacher registration system and professional standards for teachers to ensure its members are competent, fit and proper to have the care of children.
The TRB employs its own staff and is a public sector agency under the Public Sector Act 2009.
The South Australian Public Sector Salaried Employees Interim Award and the South Australian Public Sector Enterprise Agreement: Salaried 2021 governs the employment conditions of the Board.

The TRB is a self-funded statutory authority where financial planning, management and accountability of Teacher registration fees enables delivery of a broad range of agency functions.
Role Description The Manager, Corporate Services is accountable to the Director, Regulatory Performance for providing high-level direction to lead, oversee and ensure the effective delivery of business services to support the TRB to achieve objectives and key outcomes.
The role is responsible for effective leadership of a specialised team delivering superior services across several areas of technical expertise, through oversight of key performance indicators and targets within legislative and organisational timeframes.
Technical areas include: financial services, human resource management, work health and safety, wellbeing, oversight of Information Communication Technology (ICT), procurement activities and records management and media and communication functions.
This role is offered ongoing, at full time and at the MAS3 level- located in the heart of the Adelaide CBD.
Role Summary The key responsibilities of the Manager, Corporate Services include:
Manage, organise and optimise the Corporate Services function through continual improvement of processes and systems to ensure consistency and quality in line with best practice in government.Develop, implement and maintain strategic and operational frameworks, plans, programs of work, and procedures that deliver corporate activities across the organisation.Develop, implement, maintain and provide leadership of a performance management framework for the organisation.Lead, oversee and provide expert advice to support a comprehensive financial management function, including budget preparation and monitoring, provision of financial statements and reporting, managing procurement activities in line with government procurement governance policy and partner relationships, reviewing and maintaining financial authorisations and other delegations; and internal and external audit processes.Lead, manage and provide strategic advice to support the human resources function for the organisation to ensure all related activities are delivered in a best practice manner.Lead, oversee and provide strategic advice to support the information technology function to ensure effective systems are in place for business continuity and to leverage technology to improve operational outcomes.Negotiate and manage the organisation's service level agreements and contracts and monitor delivery against agreed deliverables.Support risk related activities and functions of the agency in line with the Risk Management Framework.Provide high quality, accurate and timely advice and recommendations, both written and verbal including briefings and reports to the Registrar and/or the Board.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired objectives and outcomes, and to ensure all responsibilities are undertaken effectively.Selection Criteria Qualifications
An appropriate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce (majoring in Accounting).
Demonstrated experience in HR management practices.Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Demonstrated experience in managing staff and working effectively to lead skills-based teams.High level analytical and responsive communication skills to influence outcomes through leading, motivating and influencing a diverse range of TRB-wide staff in the delivery of strategic programs, projects, systems and/or services that efficiently utilise allocated resources.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business requirements.Organisational Skills
Extensive experience in planning and developing programs of work, determining goals and priorities and managing performance against agreed outcomes to achieve corporate objectives and meet deadlines, including dealing with competing demands and managing multiple priorities and tasks.Proven successful experience in leading change initiatives.Proven ability to manage human, financial and physical resources to meet specific performance outcomes.Continuous Improvement and Organisational Safety
