The Role The Manager, Contracts team leads the contract management team which is responsible for managing the performance of externally contracted retrieval service providers.
The Successful Person You will have demonstrated:
Highly effective interpersonal (oral and written) skills, including demonstrated ability to consult, negotiate and influence staff at all levels and provide authoritative advice to senior management on a range of complex organisational issues. The ability to prepare complex submissions, briefings and reports. Proven ability to manage a team to deliver agreed outcomes. Excellent knowledge of health service delivery including an understanding of the relationship between the Department of Health and Hospital and Health Services. High level management skills and experience with a record of planning, managing concurrent projects, competing priorities, meeting deliverables, managing risk, and delivering outputs and business benefits. The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) The QAS Division operates as a statewide service within the Department of Health and is accountable for the delivery of pre-hospital ambulance response services, emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital patient care and transport services, inter-facility ambulance transport, aeromedical retrieval services, emergency telehealth clinical support models, confidential health assessment and information services, casualty room services, and planning and coordination of multi-casualty incidents and disasters to the Queensland community.
