You will support the Queensland Water Police, Marine Rescue Queensland, and the State Emergency Services with a fleet of over 400 vessels, from dinghies to offshore craft.

The core capability requirements for this role are: Provide strategic, operational and tactical procurement advice to internal and external stakeholders. Lead the development of a strategic procurement approach and supplier Contract and Procurement Management for the unit. Prepare high-level policy papers, submissions, briefs and reports on complex acquisition-related issues and initiatives. Coordinate and manage significant procurement projects in cooperation with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity, and transparency requirements are addressed. Lead the analysis of procurement patterns, procurement performance, and key supply markets. Role Requirements: Qualification:
While not mandatory, relevant Procurement qualifications would be beneficial to succeed in this role. Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience:
While not mandatory, experience in Procurement roles within public service and/or marine sectors as well as experience in leading complex supplier arrangements and contracts would be beneficial to succeed in this role. Other:
Queensland Government procurement policies and experience in SAP will be favourably considered. Applications to remain current for 12 months.
