To support our continuing growth, OIG is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Corporate Trustee Services team as Manager, Corporate Trust to manage all corporate governance related matters including company secretary and resident director services and roles.
The Corporate Governance unit is part of the Corporate Trust team which provides a diverse range of quality services to fund managers, trustees, responsible entities, and other clients in the corporate finance, debt capital markets and other industries.

Manage a portfolio of clients across the various services offered;Coordinate, prepare and attend client board and committee meetings;Draft, review and finalise minutes for meetings;Lodge statutory forms on ASIC, ACNC and ORIC;Incorporate or deregister companies;Issue equity in portfolio companies;Update equity structures, including convertible notes conversions or other corporate actions (e.g. share consolidations);Draft resolutions seeking approval of various documents or agreements;Prepare agendas, board and committee papers and minutes within the Diligent platform;Complete general updates to statutory company records;Be accountable for your client workload, timetables and tasks;Engage with internal and external clients and outsourced service providers and OIG board members;Work to become the principal point of contact for your portfolio of clients at OIG and maintain and grow the ongoing relationship;Identify new business opportunities, prepare fee proposals and onboard new clients;Communicate with OIG stakeholders regarding the ongoing management and delivery of services to the client portfolio;Be the initial escalation point for clients and action feedback/requests accordingly.About you This position is best suited for business, law or accounting graduates with 5 years' experience looking to gain invaluable experience dealing with complex governance and corporate issues while being accountable for your discrete portfolio. The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-oriented and innovative.
Working collaboratively with your business colleagues and other parties (external and internal) and keeping cool under pressure are important attributes. You will be called upon to deal directly with CEOs, board members and directors across a wide range of industries and to provide guidance in board and committee meetings.
What you'll need to succeed Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Commerce, Finance, Business, Economics or Law).Previous experience in a similar role with 5 years of experience.A member of the Governance Institute of Australia (or equivalent) would be an advantage.Sound knowledge of the Corporations Act, general corporate experience and understanding of corporate practices.Must be committed and driven to achieving excellence for clients.Critical, client-focused and forward-thinking approach.Excellent written and communication skills as the successful candidate will be dealing with multiple members of boards across different industries.Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks with rolling deadlines.Ability to work independently, under pressure and have initiative.Able to demonstrate an analytical approach yet provide practical solutions to the business and its clients.The ability to pay strong attention to detail, business acumen and sound judgment.Ability to build productive partnerships with team members and other individuals across the OIG business to meet OIG's compliance arrangements and protect the interests of OIG. #J-18808-Ljbffr
