About the Position
The Manager Community Learning and Libraries has the primary responsibility for driving strategic initiatives with a view to transforming and maintaining library services to create a vibrant hub of activity for the South Perth community. This will include managing significant projects and programs, and building partnerships which support the changing and developing intellectual, cultural and social needs of the local community. The Manager Community Learning and Libraries provides leadership and direction to the Library Services team and in the continuous improvement of policies, procedures and management practices to ensure high quality services to the customer base.
To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:
A tertiary qualification in librarianship or management. Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior role within a library, community development, heritage or records management environment. Eligibility for Associate Membership of the Australian Library and Information Association. Knowledge of e-service delivery and contemporary library practices. Well-developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. The ability to plan and implement goals and objectives. The ability to develop and manage operational budgets. Possession of a current 'C' class driver's licence. Current National Police Clearance. Ready to Apply
