Working to protect the state's environment and heritage Manager Community Engagement (Clerk Grade 11/12) Package includes salary $139,787 - $161,663 plus super Ongoing full-time role Located in Parramatta (other locations is negotiable and subject to office availability) About the role National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Manager Community Engagement to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage. The Manager Community Engagement, leads and manages the Community Engagement Unit to deliver cost-effective, high-quality community information and engagement programs and services across the state to support NPWS in the achievement of NSW Government and Departmental Corporate outcomes. This role is part of the Policy and Engagement Branch within the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. The Policy and Engagement Branch supports collaboration and integration between all NPWS branches. The branch leads continuous improvement in safety, compliance and risk management, the effective use of systems and processes, policy development, and consistency and quality of documents across the agency. It also leads community and stakeholder engagement across NPWS, develops experiences to immerse the community in our natural, cultural and heritage assets, and provides specialist project management skills to lead the development of NPWS projects. About you We are looking for someone who is able to work in a fast-paced environment including managing competing priorities and responding and managing critical/contentious issues. You must have experience in leading and managing a geographically dispersed team and working with diverse stakeholders across NSW, including statutory committees. You must have experience in facilitation and/or other community engagement techniques. Essential requirements Extensive experience in leading the development and delivery of innovative, best practice community engagement programs and strategies, including a demonstrated track record of successful communication outcomes across a diverse range of complex program areas.
