About the role We're seeking a Manager - Commercial Opportunities to play a pivotal role in driving the success of Customer Solutions and Australian Markets Partnering (CS&) by leading the realisation of value uplift through the identification and quantification of opportunities and bringing together comprehensive analysis and data-driven insights critical to help facilitate the optimisation and transformation of Billing, Collections and Enforcement functions.

Day-to-day, you will: Produce comprehensive and insightful view of the end-to-end lifecycle from Customer trip to collection of funds, both with and without a tolling arrangement, with a view to identifying opportunities for improvements. Conduct analysis using various data sources to develop recommendations on where our best commercial opportunities are and what value they may generate. Spearhead the development and implementation of business cases that support the company's strategic goals based on data and insights generated in relation to the full length of the collections process. Review the full financial journey to identify leakage and bottleneck opportunities for improvement. This role is required to take a systems lens in providing incremental enhancement recommendations to demonstrate value creation opportunities to a diverse range of senior stakeholders. Leverage insights to provide impactful recommendations into the design, governance, and ongoing refinement of Transurban's Collections strategies. Utilise technical expertise and influence key stakeholders with the development of proposals and business cases (including concept development, data and financial modelling). Partner with Senior Analysts to drive greater value realisation, either in revenue uplift, cost reduction or risk mitigation. Input and contribute to the development of a continuous improvement roadmap of opportunities and initiatives that are designed to increase revenue, whilst uplifting customer experience. This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
Proven leadership experience within complex environments. Experience in Collections and Analytics. Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches. Experience in manipulating and analysing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources. Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner. Proven track record of pragmatic commercial judgment to identify what opportunities can be translated into actionable opportunities and can be practically implemented to enhance processes and improve financial performance. Ability to triangulate different information and data sources to build out effective business cases, that clearly define key business opportunities, outline potential financial uplifts and impacts and highlight key risks. Familiarity with relational databases and SQL. Experience working with large data sets. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate complex findings and ideas in plain language. Passion for discovering and solving problems.
