We have an exciting opportunity to step-up and lead our Collections team in our Mulgrave head office. This is a fast-paced role which forms part of the fundamental spine of our business operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, the core focus of this leadership role is to drive a high-performing team culture, leading the team to success by achieving our KPIs whilst adhering to our compliance requirements. Leading this team exposes you to excellent cross functional experience across many areas of the business, while working with key business stakeholders and driving our strategy. What you'll do: Lead, coach and manage the Collections & Finance Assistance department ensuring the achievement of team targets and budgets, whilst adhering to our relevant policies and procedures and legislative requirements. Ensure the team operating rhythm is clearly defined, communicated, and delivered through a balanced combination of direct vs. Team Leader interactions such as 1:1, team meetings, call evaluations etc. Develop and implement strategies that align with business objectives whilst supporting customers facing financial difficulties. Build and maintain strong relationships with key senior stakeholders, to ensure an excellent level of service to our customers, retailers and external suppliers. Coordinate reporting and data analysis for Senior Management. Complete postmortem analysis, developing and implementing strategies to minimize future risk. Promote a strong compliance culture within our organization. The skills we're looking for: Essential to this role is people leadership experience; we require a passionate leader who can motivate and inspire our people. Experience in achieving business results in times of ongoing change will also enable you to work effectively towards continuous improvement in Collections. Thorough knowledge and experience of Collections processes within the Banking & Finance industry. Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and perform well under pressure. Proven ability to remain calm in challenging situations, effectively managing conflict and influencing or negotiating when required. Effective stakeholder management is one of your strengths, and you recognize the power of solving complex problems with others. Understanding and ensuring compliance of legislative requirements is of the utmost importance. Sound capability and experience making data driven decisions is preferred. Tertiary qualification in Business, or Finance related discipline is highly regarded.
