A fabulous opportunity now exists for an ambitious Construction/Engineering professional to lead the cities Civil Infrastructure business unit as Manager Coastal Works . The Role As the Manager Coastal Works , reporting directly to the Director City Infrastructure, you will be leading a dedicated and talented team of civil and infrastructure professionals to ensure the continuing high performance of the City's civil infrastructure construction Business Unit. A significant differentiator of this particular role – and an indication of the innovative approach adopted by the City of Coffs Harbour (City) – is that in addition to the management and leadership of the Coastal Works Business Unit within the City, you will additionally be leading the delivery of quality civil asset construction projects for external customers. Key Accountabilities Deliver the capital works program for the City through accurate cost estimates of works, tracking costs and progress, and reporting to Planning and Delivery Sections and relevant Group Leaders as required. Support the commercialisation of the Coastal Works Business Unit by ensuring a commercial approach for contract management and project reporting for both internal and external civil construction. Further grow the Coastal Works Business Unit, including the marketing of the service implementing a program to increase the turnover of external works undertaken by Coastal Works Lead change whilst equipping and empowering employees of the Business Unit to also lead change as appropriate. Provide supportive and effective leadership to employees; coaching and guiding, role modelling the City's values, building trust and providing positive direction to align with the City's current and future needs. Develop a flexible and skilled workforce capable of undertaking varied tasks within the Business Unit.
