General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management) Full time Central Desert Native Title Services Ltd (Central Desert) works in partnership with the Aboriginal people of the central desert region of Western Australia as they shape a self-sustaining and determined future of independence, control and connection to Country, Culture and Community.
Central Desert provides a range of services focused on supporting corporations known as a 'Prescribed Body Corporate' (PBC). A PBC is the corporate entity established to represent a native title holding group in all matters relating to native title. The PBC is the first point of contact for government and other parties (for example, mining companies) who wish to talk with the native title holders or undertake activities on native title land.
We are seeking a Manager Client Services to join our Senior Management team. This role is responsible for leadership and management of the Client Services team, business development of that team, strategy development, and client services delivery.
The role will work across departments within CDNTS such as heritage, legal and operations, and across CDNTS' subsidiary companies to facilitate multi-faceted service delivery in line with our clients' aspirations.
The role is full-time based in our East Perth Office (free parking available).
To be considered for this position, you will have: Strong experience in Native Title and working with Aboriginal people and communities, with a high level of cultural competence. Advanced skills and experience in PBC operations, compliance and governance. Demonstrated management and leadership skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Track record of client servicing, partnerships and business development. Experience with finance principles, budgets, profit and loss statements. Willingness and ability to travel to remote locations regularly, and for extended periods from time to time. National Police Clearance (not older than 6 months).
