Manager, Buying, Planning & Trading eCommerce (12 months Maternity Leave Contract) Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: The E-Commerce Originals Buying & Planning Manager role is responsible for managing pre-season and in-season Planning, Buying and Trading for Originals categories for adidas own ecosystem, partner program and marketplace. Applying a hands-on approach and with a consumer centric focus, this leader will be responsible for forecasting, planning, and implementing strategies and tactics to deliver achieve sales goals, profit margins, inventory health within their categories, thereby contributing to the overall Pacific Brand and E-Commerce channel.
Key Responsibilities: Support the Senior Manager Buying, Planning & Trading in executing the Pacific E-Commerce merchandising strategy and ensure deployment by engaging with Category Planning team locally. Support the delivery of Channel and Cluster financial targets including net sales, sell through, standard margin and Inventory Days Lasting. Hold in-depth product & market knowledge of the adidas brand, our performance categories, our consumers, and competitors to maximize sales opportunities. Contribute to pre-season planning including Open-To-Buy (OTB) plan, pre-season product planning, option planning and ranging. Own the end-to-end product lifecycle (PLC) from pre-planning, ranging, deployment of ranges and assortment into stores with continued focus and tracking on sell out deploying trading and promotional tactics. Collaborate with eCommerce Consumer Experience and Digital Activation teams to ensure optimal product storytelling, merchandising and trading of stock. Have a clear understanding of the local consumer and competitive landscape and create strategies that will help adidas compete and win market share. Liaise with Digital Analytics and Consumer Experience to gain in depth insights & implement learnings into pre-season & in-season strategy. Conduct digital and physical store visits regularly to ensure strong connection to competitors and retail landscape, gaining insights and feedback to translate into actionable plans and initiatives. Build and foster relationships with partners within EM eCommerce, Retail, Marketing and Brand Category teams. Key Relationships: Regional: E-Commerce & DPC EM Digital Analytics, CX and Trading Local: E-Commerce, CTC, Brand Activation, Membership and CRM, Demand Planning, SCM Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Passion for product, fashion, and sports. Strong process and project management skills. Proficiency on MS Office Applications Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point  Good understanding of Buying and Planning processes & systems. Ability to influence and drive consensus and solutions with cross functional teams. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, Ability to speak, read and write in English fluently, additional language skills beneficial. Ability to travel both domestic and internationally as needed. Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: University degree in Buying, Product Design, Fashion Design, Retail Management, Business Management, ideally with Marketing and Sales focus or equivalent professional experience. 5 Years+ overall work experience in Merchandising/Retail projects.
