Analysis & Reporting (Mining, Resources & Energy)Full timeBased in our Ok Tedi Australia Office in Brisbane and reporting to the General Manager Strategy and Support, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the OTML strategic business plan.Your role will involve:Develop and implement the OTML Strategic Business Plan (SBP).Implement strategic planning initiatives in coordination with line departments and the Business Improvement team.Liaise with Site Team to ensure alignment of SBP and site plans.Facilitate the annual reporting of resources and reserves.Conduct strategic planning studies and activities as directed by the OTML Senior Executive and the Safety and Technical Advisory Committee.Formulate strategic plans for Waste Rock Dumps and Tailings Storage Facilities.Define a resource development pipeline to convert resources into reserves.Ensure the completion of Strategic Business Plan (SBP) for approval by the OTML Board of Directors.Oversee external audits of resources and reserves as necessary.Monitor global trends in Mining Industry Business Improvement to stay aligned with best practices.Identify and leverage opportunities to convert exploration potential into mineral resources and subsequently into ore reserves.Manage the existing Mine Closure Plan, including risk management activities, in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.Develop and manage a robust employee development program that includes mentoring, coaching, and participation in relevant training courses.Ensure strict adherence to environmental guidelines in all strategic initiatives and plans; andManage OTML's environmental compliance, ensuring alignment with all relevant environmental impact standards.To be considered, you must possess the following:Tertiary qualifications in engineering, strategic development, or project management, with recent experience in mining resource business development.A degree in Mining Engineering or Project Management is highly desirable.At least 10-15 years in mining resources/mining sector, demonstrating strong in-depth knowledge and application in open-pit mine (and UG) operations, planning, and scheduling.Proven track record in identifying improvements and implementing successful mining project outcomes.Strong understanding and experience with cultural diversity and project delivery within a multicultural team.Comprehensive knowledge of the Mining Industry and a holistic, best-practice approach to Business Improvement; andExcellent communication and strong leadership skills.
