How will I help?
We're seeking a Manager for Business Controls and Monitoring in Cash & Transactional Banking.
In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting the implementation and management of risk across the Transactions & Savings, Term Deposits, and Merchant Acquiring lines of business.
You'll be responsible for ensuring the business aligns with our risk management frameworks, policies, and controls.
Your focus will be on embedding Control Self-Assessment testing and simplifying controls, while also providing valuable risk and compliance expertise across the entire value chain.
You'll help build a strong risk culture that balances commercial and customer needs, contributing to our mission to operate with ethics and integrity.
As part of the CT&B BCM team, you'll work with a group of risk professionals to align divisional operations with our risk strategy and regulatory obligations.
Your expertise will help improve customer outcomes through better risk management and the development of an enhanced set of controls.
You'll also provide insights for risk committees, assist with regulatory responses, and coach the business to build greater risk awareness.
In addition to risk and compliance support, you'll be a key conduit between the BCM Squads and leadership teams, ensuring alignment and keeping second-line risk informed.
You'll play a crucial role in managing audits, maintaining data hygiene in our risk systems, and facilitating workshops to continuously improve our risk practices.
What do I need?
To succeed in this role, you'll need 3-5 years of experience in operational risk 1st LoD or audit, with a strong background in banking and risk assessment.
Your relationship-building skills will be essential as you work closely with stakeholders to develop long-term partnerships and your ability to think strategically in a changing environment will set you apart.
Having previous experience in facilitation and business case building is advantageous.
