What you'll be doing
Responsible for the provision of professional, operational, strategic management and leadership in regards to the provision and development of all aspects of Biomedical services and asset provision, which support the principles of Total Asset Management (TAM), clinical services and planning objectives of SNSWLHD. This includes applying the acquired knowledge to enable SNSWLHD to meet its organisational, operational and business objectives, continuously improving the governance and operations of biomedical services to ensure service delivery is maintained at appropriate levels. Selection Criteria Relevant Qualifications – examples include Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Electronics certificate or equivalent. Eligible for membership to the Society of Medical and Biomedical Engineers (SMBE) or Institute of Healthcare Engineering Australia (IHEA). Proven successful experience as a Manager in biomedical engineering in a health care, laboratory or similar environment. Demonstrated ability to lead a team through procedural, policy and process change. Demonstrated experience at a senior level including problem solving, quality and resource management, strategic planning, performance and compliance. Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation and communications skills. Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Equipment, Australian Standards and Regulations, relevant to Biomedical Equipment for all aspects of patient care. Demonstrated leadership skills and CORE values, with a diverse team of internal and external resources and stakeholders. Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires.
