About the role
The Adult Male Prisons Directorate is responsible for the end-to-end case management and through care of adult male prisoners.
Hakea Prison is the primary remand, receival and assessment prison for male metropolitan prisoners.
As such, it is the first point of contact for the majority of prisoners entering the prison system.
It is unique as a facility having the dominant proportion of its population as unsentenced prisoners.

The Manager Audits and Risk will ensure that prison standards are maintained with both staff and prisoners.
The position will contribute to the development of Standing Orders and local instructions reflecting Hakea Prison's operations.
The role will monitor changes to routines and functions and ensure change is reflected on documentation to ensure consistency.
In addition, the position will provide statistics to the Superintendent as necessary and conduct enquiries, investigations and other duties as required on behalf of the Superintendent.

Eligibility
To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
