Role Summary: As the Manager of APAC Accounting, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the accounting operations for our APAC entities, including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, and Vietnam. A Hands-On role you will be responsible for month-end close, statutory compliance, and operational support for in-country accounting and finance matters. This role requires a strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally and with teams across different regions and time zones. What You'll Do: Prepare, lead and oversee the month-end accounting close for the APAC entities Validate month-end account balances through detailed review of account reconciliations and journal entries Analyze income statement and balance sheet account fluctuations Support income, indirect and other various tax processes, including working with 3rd parties on assessments and other projects Manage banking relationships and review and approval of payments Ownership of statutory audits where required, including managing requests and communication with various external service providers, auditors and tax advisors Provide leading practice improvements to existing processes Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to the business as new initiatives and projects arise What You'll Need: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance 5+ years in a financial accounting role Familiarity with month-end close processes Knowledge of Local and International taxes and regulations (AU/NZ BAS, GST, PAYG, Payroll taxes, Worcover etc) Strong understanding of accounting for international entities, including statutory requirements Preferred Qualifications: CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification Public accounting experience Experience with SAP, FloQast, Auditboard, Alteryx, UiPath and/or Tableau Attention to detail with high level of ethics and integrity Takes ownership of areas of responsibility, proactive, self-motivated Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across different regions Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on leading teams in a remote environment Your profile will be reviewed and you'll hear from us once we have an update.
