Management (Community Services & Development) Welcome to the Ngaanyatjarra Lands - a vibrant tapestry of culture and community nestled within the vast beauty of the West Australian desert. Home to approximately 2,000 Yarnangu (Ngaanyatjarra People) across eleven unique communities; our council is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our rich heritage spanning over 10,000 years and 250,000 square kilometres.
Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia. NCG provides a wide range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, shops, roadhouses, art centres and land services. It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country.
Our dedicated community-based health teams deliver full-time primary healthcare at our clinics, significantly improving community health standards. Through a multidisciplinary approach encompassing Primary Health Care (PHC), Public Health Programs, and Health Promotion Activities, we strive to enhance the wellbeing of our residents.

The Opportunity: We are excited to offer the position of Manager-Aged Care and Disabilities based in Perth with regular travel to the Ngaanyatjarra Lands. This role presents a unique opportunity to lead a respected not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing exceptional care to its residents. As the Manager, you will oversee the delivery of Aged Care Services across the Ngaanyatjarra Lands. This includes a beautifully appointed, accredited Residential Aged Care facility (residential and respite); the delivery of Home Care Packages and a Community Home Care Support service. You will have the chance to make a significant impact by fostering a culture of resident-centred care, coaching a dedicated team, and driving improvements in service delivery. About You: You have demonstrated experience in a senior Aged Care role, with knowledge of both the Residential and Home Care elements of Aged Care. Knowledge of Aged Care funding models is essential and an understanding of National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care (NATSIFAC) would be ideal. You will have a thorough understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and governance. Your proven leadership skills enable you to motivate and support your team, fostering a collaborative and resident-focused environment.
Your experience working in remote locations and with Aboriginal people would be well regarded, giving you unique insights into the challenges and rewards of providing care in such settings. You are passionate about promoting healthy aging options and excel at building meaningful relationships with clients, families, and staff. With strong financial management and budgeting skills, you can make informed decisions that benefit both clients and the organisation.
