The role operates within the statutory framework for all client-facing program areas of Services for Children and Families.
The After-hours Service staff and its key service partners are positioned across the State, requiring some statewide travel.This is a Department built entirely for children and young people and their communities.

Some statewide travel will be required.Period of AppointmentFixed term, Start ASAP for 12 MonthsApplicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.Hours per fortnight76 hours per fortnightMinimum RequirementsCurrent Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)Pre-employment check including conviction checks in areas such as crimes of violence, sex-related offences, serious drug offences, crimes involving dishonesty, and serious traffic offences.Disciplinary actions in previous employment checkA tertiary qualification (AQF Level 7 qualification) or higher, approved by the professional body responsible for accrediting programs of study for the profession in Australia, and eligibility for membership, or full membership with, the professional association is required.An alternative tertiary qualification (AQF Level 7 qualification) in a discipline considered relevant to the duties; orAn Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (AQF Level 5 or 6 qualification) in a discipline considered relevant to the dutiesFive or more years' experience in the delivery of human/family services and a high level of expertise in Child SafetyCurrent Driver's LicenceApplication ProcessElectronic submission of application is preferred.
