We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated professional to lead our strategic fundraising and alumni engagement efforts as the Manager, Advancement.
Full-time and continuing position Located at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas HEWL 10A: $131,469 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits. ABOUT THE ROLE In this pivotal role, the Manager, Advancement will drive JCU's alumni engagement and fundraising initiatives.
You'll provide strategic direction and leadership to the Advancement Team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in customer service.
Tasked with implementing JCU's strategic plan for the Advancement directorate, you'll be instrumental in growing our alumni network and increasing fundraising revenue to support the University's goals.
Your role will involve cultivating meaningful donor relationships and expanding JCU's community impact by building long-term partnerships with both new and existing supporters.
You will also ensure effective resource management, overseeing project budgets and timelines to achieve strategic objectives, and play a key role in enhancing future advancement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE With a postgraduate degree, you'll bring extensive experience in alumni relations and fundraising, with strengths in strategic planning, budgeting, and project management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is experience working in cross-cultural or international environments, as you'll work closely with diverse stakeholders, building impactful relationships that advance JCU's mission.
Your leadership skills will be evident in your experience managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
High proficiency in CRM databases (such as Raiser's Edge), along with expertise in grant writing and proposal development are also key.
Experience within the higher education sector would be highly regarded.
