Lead the team through an exciting period of changeEnsure compliance requirements are met and processes followedOversee training support and requirements including education activitiesThe Company This specialist medical college has the objective of influencing health systems management and educating medical practitioners throughout Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and other overseas posts.
The Role Reporting to the Executive Director, Education, Training and Development you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of aspects of the Fellowship Training Program and ensure compliance requirements are met and processes and policies followed. You will lead the Training team to deliver, monitor, review, evaluate and report on areas of responsibility for the program and identify and implement quality improvements.
You will also be responsible for overseeing the accreditation of training posts, providing training and support to the training supervisors and overseeing the candidate journey and training requirements including education activities.
Responsibilities Manage the operations of the unit including training post accreditation and the candidate journey including online and face to face education activitiesSupport the development of team members and ensure delivery of their role responsibilitiesDevelop and monitor processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance of unit functionsDelivery of training requirements including program design, policies, monitoring, evaluation and quality improvementsIdentify and manage risks associated with the unit functions ensuring compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirementsPresent discussion papers, data analysis and evaluation findings, insights, trends and recommendations to explain complex ideas to stakeholder groupsSkills and Experience A relevant undergraduate or post-graduate degree with an understanding of the Australian and NZ health systemPrevious experience in a similar role within a Medical College, University or Member Based organisationStrong management skills, leading a team in a quality and compliance environmentManagement of accreditation standards and processes, including delivery, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and complianceUnderstanding of compliance, and application of standards and accreditation governance within an education or healthcare environmentAbility to think strategically, manage risk, research issues, formulate recommendations, implement decisions and review outcomesWillingness to travel a couple of times a year and work outside of normal business hours (TOIL will be accrued)Culture You will be joining the organisation during an exciting period of change, you will be leading a new team where you can establish the team culture and take ownership of your position.
