About the Opportunity DVNQ is looking for a strategic and visionary Service Manager based in Townsville, QLD.
The Service Manager will report to the CEO and is responsible for managing and developing service delivery across all domestic and family violence program areas.
This includes leading the integrated service response, overseeing the Townsville Domestic Violence Integrated Response (DVIR) Partnership, and chairing the High-Risk Team (HRT) meetings.
Key Responsibilities: Manage service delivery and development across all program areas, ensuring compliance with legislation, quality standards, and funding requirements.
Cultivate a strong practice environment underpinned by relevant theoretical models and trauma-aware approaches.
Provide line management and mentoring to staff, fostering a culture of empowerment and shared decision-making.
Develop and implement organisational policies, procedures, and systems that align with best practices and governance requirements.
Engage with stakeholders, Elders, and the community to ensure culturally appropriate responses and foster partnerships.
Drive strategic planning, continuous improvement, and evaluation processes to enhance service delivery and organisational impact.
Represent the organisation in networks and forums, advocating for systems-level change and raising community awareness.
About You To qualify, you will need a degree-level qualification in a relevant human services discipline and a minimum of 3 years of experience leading service delivery and managing teams, ideally within the domestic and family violence or human services sector.
Advanced knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Domestic and Family Violence Act 2012 and DFV Information Sharing Guidelines, is essential.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued: Advanced communication and relationship-building skills with staff and stakeholders.
Proficiency in managing risk, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of empowerment.
Expertise in trauma-aware, culturally responsive, and healing-informed practices.
