The ideal candidate will be CA/CPA qualified and possess a strong background in the Accounting and Financial Planning industry.
This role will be critical in supporting our financial operations and providing strategic insights to drive business decisions.
This individual is eager to develop and advance within the company, eventually stepping into a CFO position.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.Collaborate directly with the CEO and Directors to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and potential areas for improvement.Assist in the preparation of financial statements and annual audits.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Manage cash flow, including forecasting and liquidity management.Maintain strict reporting obligations, especially when it comes to liaising with Auditors for our Foundation and Australian Financial Services Licensee.In time, manage an accounts department to assist you in performing your duties.Initially complete bi-weekly payroll processing and associated tasks with the view to transition this to a supervisory capacity only.Work with the CEO on Data Insights in the business both non-financial and financial.Qualifications and Skills Mandatory: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulationsProficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPowerBI and SQL Data Experience or willingness to learn and growCalxaFathomDextEmployment HeroAt Cosca, we're a strong believer in our culture to Activate Growth not only for our clients and the communities we serve but also for our staff.
