Your Role
You'll report to the CEO and Senior Financial Controller and be an integral part of the finance team, providing strategic, operations and hands-on support for the Finance activities of the company and its' entities. Daily responsibilities include:
Bookkeeping processes including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable functions, and account reconciliation Labour hire and Sub-contractor invoice RCTI, reconciliation and payments Timely preparation of weekly invoices for key clients Completion of monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules Payroll calculation and processing including all pay runs, child support deductions and payment, superannuation, payroll tax, IAS, and RTWSA payments and recoveries Timely and accurate completion of financial and statutory requirements including TPAR, FBT and BAS data Development and ongoing preparation of budgeting and forecasting tools Preparing monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, internal management reports, budgets and cashflow statements at levels appropriate for multiple stakeholders Analysis and reporting on freight performance KPIs and contractor costings Maintain current working knowledge of Finance, ICT, and industry relevant legislation Communicate Finance and ICT initiatives, requirements, policies, and procedures to the workforce Collate statistics and provide KPI reporting to internal stakeholders Participate in departmental meetings to improve and strengthen internal controls around business processes, information systems and communication Prepare project driven data and other information when required Other Details
The dynamic position is Full-Time, Monday – Friday and offers stability, workplace enjoyment and independence. With the pace of growth in the business, future career opportunities are likely and current remuneration guide is commensurate with skills and attributes; ranged between $80-90K + Super.
About You You have relevant Australian tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance You have at least 5 years' exposure to the transport, logistics, freight forwarding or linehaul industries You have excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to present to all stakeholders at various levels of the business Excellent time management and organisational skills Sound working knowledge of relevant industry and accounting software A keen desire to see projects to completion and work closely with all team members to achieve optimum results What to do now
