Job Description The Senior Management Accountant will work side-by-side with the Wilson Homes CEO and the Senior Management team. The successful candidate will also work closely with the NEX Group Chief Financial Officer and will form an integral part of the National Finance team. The key focus of this role is to support the CEO and senior management team for the continued growth and success of the Wilson Homes business within the Tasmanian housing market. Success in this role will be demonstrated through the establishment of strong working relationships with all key stakeholders within the business, and an in-depth knowledge of what delivers both financial and operational results for the Group. On a daily basis, the successful candidate will support the business through the analysis & reporting on key financial and operational metrics for all aspects of the Wilson Homes business. More specifically, you will: Responsibilities Prepare and analyse business unit performance against budgets and forecasts Collate and prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts (inclusive of both financial and operational metrics) Support the business unit CEO and operational management teams with decision making through timely preparation and analysis of operating statistics Prepare the daily, weekly and monthly operating results Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships within the business to support and drive outcomes Complete month end processes, including all journals, reconciliations and supporting documentation within Group advised timeframes and guidelines Assist the group with its compliance obligations through completion of reporting activities within required timeframes and in accordance with Group guidelines Travel may be required for Group Finance related activities Qualifications You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field Be CA or CPA qualified or working towards Strong interpersonal and people management skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting Excellent time management skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities About the Team The NEX Building Group is a diverse and expanding organisation with over 1,200 passionate employees.
