Randstad Senior Finance is proud to partner with a prestigious higher education institution in their search for an experienced Management Accountant to support their finance function on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. This is a unique opportunity to apply your financial acumen in a complex and rewarding environment, playing a critical role in budgeting, planning, and strategic decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Management Accountant, you will:Lead financial management activities, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, and reporting to meet the needs of key stakeholders.Develop and utilise financial models, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and create scenario projections to inform decision-making.Provide data-driven insights to improve financial performance, business growth, and operational efficiency.Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial practices and procedures.Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, clients, government bodies, and stakeholders.Identify and manage risks related to financial initiatives and ensure alignment with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and business protocols.Contribute to ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.About YouWe're seeking a results-driven finance professional with the following qualifications and skills:Education & QualificationsRelevant tertiary qualifications in finance or business.Membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA) or Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Australia.Knowledge & SkillsExperience in financial management, including accounting, budgeting, and reporting.Strong capability in developing and monitoring complex budgets and managing income/expenditure.Ability to analyse complex financial information into clear, concise, and actionable insights.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and trends.High proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Office Suite, and database systems (SAP highly regarded).Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and adaptable approach to teamwork.How to ApplyIf you're a detail-oriented Management Accountant eager to make an impact in the higher education sector, we'd love to hear from you!
