About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our corporate team at our Head Office at Eight Mile Plains. You will report to the Financial Controller working within our collaborative finance team. You will prepare, report and analyse the Group's operating segments including project and operational reporting, support the business through analysis and use your commercial acumen to ensure the business reaches its financial objectives.
As a Management Accountant reporting to the Financial Controller, you will:Assist with the review and management of operational overheads including variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting.Assist with preparation of monthly management reports including commentary.Compile joint venture (JV) project recovery invoices and liaise with JV personnel.Assist with external auditor queries.Develop and improve business models and templates.Assist with the final close out of projects.The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience: Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting.Experience as a Management Accountant. Experience within the heavy industry space with a contractor is highly desirable.CA or CPA qualified.Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Ability to work across competing priorities and meet deadlines.Outstanding communication skills with a strong focus on collaboration and business partnering.Current C-Class Driver's License.Seymour Whyte is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we encourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds including veterans .
