Management Accountant

This immediate start role will suit an experienced Management Accountant who is seeking an opportunity to extend their experience to a growing and prosperous sector and gain the opportunity to become a long term member of the team. Client Details My client is a growing and well sustained business servicing the mining and resources sector both here in Australia and internationally Description Responsible for recording & analysing inventory stock take reports, and liaising with Operations to investigate discrepancies as part of month end close Responsible for the timely preparation and reporting of operational KPIs Ensure integrity of revenue and cost by analysing general ledger and recording accruals as required Ensure compliance with SoX related controls Responsible for preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations for specific accounts / entities Provide business partnering and decision support to the operations including development and preparation of financial analyses and models where required. To effectively communicate, resolve and expedite issues with Operational Managers and Corporate regarding purchase orders, cost control and GL coding, approval of asset purchases and inventory management To ensure all financial policies, procedures and processes are strictly implemented and adhered to, ensuring the highest standards of ethics and financial propriety, taking immediate action if any non-compliance is discovered. Other ad hoc duties as requested by your Manager. Profile To be successful in this role, it is essential that you are coming from a similar position in a congruent industry or sector. You will be able to commence immediately and to commit for the initial period of at least 3 months. You will have a great ability to liaise and communicate with peers and stakeholders in a professional manner.
