Currently looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant into their Finance Operations Division, they offer a fantastic workplace culture in a collaborative and inclusive environment. This position is being offered on a 12-month contract basis. Your new role Working under limited direction with a degree of autonomy and reporting to the Team Leader Management Reporting & Analysis, the Management Accountant is responsible for delivering high-quality management accounting, reporting and analysis to multiple stakeholders across the organisation. These services include the provision of specialist financial business planning, modelling, reporting, analysis and advice to guide the successful delivery of the business and to support investment decision-making. Key responsibilities include: Assist in the accurate and timely financial reporting requirements and provide driver-based analysis and commentary Support the design and development of management reports and processes to enable detailed analysis of actuals against budget and forecast; this includes commitment reporting against key performance drivers Assist the monitoring of financial results and identify potential financial risks and opportunities Provide stakeholders with timely, insightful and forward-looking advice to management to enable informed decision making Develop financial models to support cost-benefit scenarios Support the delivery of end of month and year end requirements and GL reconciliations Ensure the ongoing effective maintenance, integrity and accuracy of accounting records What you'll need to succeed An accounting degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training Demonstrated experience in the delivery of budgeting and management reporting frameworks Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in the collection, manipulation, analysis and reporting of data Experience in the design and implementation of management reports through various reporting tools, including Cognos and Power BI Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including professional report compilation skills Experience in the use and development of financial modelling and analysis to support business planning What you'll get in return Immediate start Central CBD location 12-month contract opportunity including sick leave and annual leave entitlements Great team culture and a progressive workplace environment What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
