Investing, developing, and managing long term infrastructure to grow the Territory and Northern Australia.Management AccountantWe are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our finance team.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for the preparation of the ADGconsolidated results (management & statutory), budgets and forecasts along with playing a key role in the maintenance & improvements of the reporting systems.Key ResponsibilitiesMonthly preparation of the consolidated financial results and supporting information for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodiesBiannual preparation of the consolidated financial results for statutory reporting purposesPreparation and consolidation of the annual budgetPreparation and consolidation of the quarterly forecastCoordinating with various stakeholders in formulating departmental/cost center budgetsAnalyzing operating costs, income and expenditure and provide assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reportsProvision of technical accounting advice to business on complex, new or emerging accounting issuesManaging and support of the consolidation systemManaging any changes (entity hierarchies and other changes) to the accounting systemsAssist with other new system implementation improvements and projectsOther ad-hoc dutiesSelection CriteriaEssentialBachelor Degree in Business / Commerce / Economics / FinanceCPA / CA qualificationsStrong technical accounting skills including consolidation accountingAdvanced financial reporting experienceExcellent information systems skills including Excel and reporting packagesDemonstrated business partnering skills and ability to work as part of a teamPlanning, Project Management & Organization skillsStrong commitment and willingness to consistently meet tight reporting deadlinesPass an Australian Federal Police Check as applicableDesirableExperience within a Big 4 Chartered FirmKnowledge of TechnologyOne ERP, SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite of softwareAbility to work with remote offices or multiple sitesKey Performance IndicatorsDelivering accurate financial resultsMeeting deadlinesDevelopment of and continuous improvement of processesADG offers a competitive salary with a range of benefits including:Professional, diverse and modern workspaceEmployee Health & Wellbeing initiatives including a living well rebateFlexible working optionsEmployee events, awards and recognition initiativesClosing date for this position is 24 January 2025Note: Screening may commence prior to closing date.
