The Group is made up of two retail brands plus a service and manufacturing arm.
They are seeking a Systems/Management Accountant to join their dynamic Finance team.
The Role You will play a crucial role in integrating financial processes with their operational systems by leveraging your accounting and systems knowledge.
Key Responsibilities Management Accountant Function Undertaking month-end accounting and reporting process, including the development of complex journals, review/analysis of financial results and other month-end activitiesPreparation and distribution of daily reportsManage intercompany transactions and reconciliationsPreparation and oversight of asset registers, asset capitalisations and policiesUnderstand, investigate, provide commentary and resolve variances as identified from reportsContribute to budget and forecast processesPreparation of short-term cash flows for Manager review before submissionAssistance with compliance reporting such as BAS, FBT, and income tax returnsPreparing journalsAssisting with external auditsInvolvement in projects, as requiredIdentification and support for process automation and process improvementsLiaise with internal stakeholders on financial outcomesMentoring across the Finance TeamActively participate in and contribute to team meetingsSystem Accountant Function Assist with the implementation of the new Dynamics 365 ERP program and other ancillary softwarePerform system period close activities in line with accounting month-end timetableEnsure system permissions are maintained in line with delegated authorities and approval limits and ensure the segregation of dutiesPerform system administration functions for the finance system including general ledger, fixed assets, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, Point-of-Sale and Workshop Services management portalBe responsible for resolving the day-to-day issues with D365 and ancillary software applications to ensure functional efficiencyUsing business intelligence tools, design and create reports to support and enhance the financial reporting and analysis and improve decision-making across the businessSeek opportunities for system and process improvement through collaborating with stakeholdersMaintaining and improving the integration with other systems and databases across the business
To succeed in this role, you will require: Bachelor's degree in accounting or financeCPA or CA (or near completion)3+ years prior experience in a similar roleAdvanced Excel skills with the ability to maintain and create modelsAbility to effectively manage large data sets and translate them into meaningful outputsHigh attention to detail to maintain our high standard of accuracy and integrityExperience with Dynamics 365Experience with Pronto Xi is desirable but not essentialExperience with ERP implementations is highly desirableCapability to work, interact and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and build positive, professional relationshipsStrong team playerProactive and positive attitudeApply
