The Opportunity Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for undertaking various accounting and reporting activities which ensure the effective operation of their BU or Project. As such, the MA role is crucial in supporting operations to deliver accurate and timely financial information and analysis. This is a fixed term contract until September 2025. Key responsibilities General Ledger and sub-ledger maintenance for allocated business unit(s).Ensure Fixed Asset register is maintained including timely capitalisations and disposals, and appropriate depreciation methods are applied.Working with Operations to deliver monthly reports (Management and Capex) and financial information that is accurate, timely and provides insightful analysis.Working with the Commercial Team to ensure project finances are in line with commercial expectations.Prepare monthly management accounts including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and budget variance analysis with general/operations managers.Development and maintenance of Business Intelligence tools/dashboards and data analytics.Analyse and understand the financial and operational drivers of results.Preparation of budgets and periodic rolling forecasts as required.Preparation of audit work papers and liaising with auditors to address their queries during half and full year, in addition to other ad hoc audits.Compliance with monthly reporting timetable.Assist general/operational managers to cost and budget new and existing operational projects, contracts and opportunities.What is required Tertiary Degree in AccountingCompleted or working towards CA/CPAExperience in a range of accounting activities – including general accounting, financial analysis, audit and management reportingHigh level competency in Microsoft Office, inclusive of ExcelExperience working in operational finance in mining or contracting services (preferable)Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiating skillsAbout Mineral Resources MinRes is a leading diversified resources company with extensive operations in lithium, iron ore, energy and mining services across Western Australia.
