What does the job look like?

BevChain, a leading supply chain organisation, is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to manage financial accounting and reporting, ensuring the accuracy of financial outcomes for the customer contracts and Head Office. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills, the ability to meet reporting deadlines, and strong problem-solving abilities. You will work closely with commercial, site operational, and administrative teams to maintain financial consistency and integrity.

Located at our Auburn site, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading supply chain organisation that partners with some of Australia's largest beverage companies.

We will consider both part time and full time applicants. Part time applicants will need to be available to work 3-4 days and ideally have the ability to flex up to 5 days during critical periods over the year.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Finance Manager in preparing weekly and monthly Profit and Loss statements for customer contracts and Head Office, conducting analysis and providing recommendations.

Prepare and manage general ledger journals, ensuring the provision of all necessary supporting documentation.

Produce timely and accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations, implementing strong controls to maintain financial integrity.

Support the annual planning and re-forecasting for the customer contract and Head Office Profit and Loss statements, including budget build, trend analysis and budget loads into TM1.

Support capital spend and management for the customer contract and Head Office, including spend reconciliation and asset capitalisations.

Support the National Finance Manager in meeting annual reporting and tax obligations, ensuring precise disclosures and timely submissions.

Collaborate with the National Finance Manager and other Finance Managers to improve financial systems and processes, contributing to key projects as required.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

Experience in a commercial finance environment, with roles such as Financial Accountant or Management Accountant.

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Commerce, with CPA/CA qualification.

Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, including building budgets and providing clear commentary on variances.

Strong experience in balance sheet reconciliation, month-end close processes, and maintaining attention to detail.

Familiarity with asset management and customer contract financials.

Expertise in working with large ERP systems and reporting tools, SAP and TM1 considered highly desirable.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and explain complex financial information clearly.
