Your new role
As the Management Accountant, you will be a key member of the finance team supporting the finance requirements of the organisation. You will work closely with the team to provide robust financial information on time and accurately. You will ensure the integrity of the general ledger and ensure all internal financial controls are adhered to.
In detail, you will be responsible for:
Prepare Monthly Management Accounts including Profit and Loss
Prepare Daily Bank and event deposits Reconciliations
Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations, journals when required including stocktake, inventory and gift cards
Maintaining cashflow forecast
Payroll journals and review including wage recharge, commission review, cost allocations and leave accruals
Quarterly BAS lodgement
Monthly reconciliation, lodgement and payment PAYG, IT, Payroll Tax
Annual Workers Comp and FBT review
Review & approve Supplier Payments
Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable/Cash Receipting
General Ledger and Records Maintenance
Liaise with external auditors
Intercompany/external stakeholder Recharges
Maintain Fixed Asset & Prepayment schedules
Monthly financial review and accruals
Quarterly financial review and accruals
Quarterly Compliance reporting
Work closely with operations staff, management, trust accountant, property team, maintenance teams and group head office staff to ensure accurate cost recording, facilitate collections and provide reports where necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential that you can demonstrate experience in a similar role. You must be able to demonstrate solid commercial experience with the ability to analyse financial data to generate meaningful financial reports and statements.
You are detailed in your approach and you are someone who builds lasting relationships with your colleagues and stakeholders.
It goes without saying that you have a high level of analytical skills, a high-level of Microsoft Excel and that you have superior written and verbal communications skills.
